Our History

Oh Media Sdn Bhd, identified as Oh! Media is a prominent Malaysian infotainment website known for its contemporary and engaging content. It started in 2008 as Oh Media Network, founded by Khai Hassan, a Malaysian blogger, during his university days at Limkokwing University. Hassan’s influential blogging, even in the absence of social media, marked the beginnings of Oh! Media.

The website was initially formed by merging two main websites, Oh! Artis and Oh! Tidak. It began modestly, with its first unofficial ‘office’ being at Mamak Hameedia in Desa Pandan, where the founders utilized the free Wi-Fi to develop their content. This initial setup highlights the grassroots beginnings of the portal.

The foundation of Oh! Media was further strengthened with the creation of a forum named “”, which was a hit during its time. Popular categories from this forum were later developed into various blogs, including for entertainment, for news, and for miscellaneous interesting content. These were later consolidated under the domain in 2015.

Oh! Media gained significant recognition and popularity over the years. It was listed as one of the most popular brands in Malaysia by Facebook & Social Bakers, reflecting its widespread acceptance and influence as a primary source of information and entertainment for Malaysians.

Today, Oh Media Sdn Bhd operates as a media and marketing brand, offering a range of services at reasonable prices for both small and large businesses. The portal is a trendsetter in delivering news across various categories in an engaging, casual, yet accurate manner. It aims to be an appealing daily discourse for young Malaysians, keeping them informed about current events in an entertaining way. The platform records millions of visits each month and has amassed over 5 million followers on social media.

Oh! Media has been instrumental in popularizing the “OH” branding across various projects since 2008. It amalgamates various popular websites under the OH MEDIA NETWORK, such as Oh! Artis, Oh! Tidak, and Oh! Islam, creating a comprehensive portal that caters to the daily informational needs of its audience.

In 2020, Oh! Media merged with iMedia Asia Sdn Bhd, expanding its reach and continuing to grow as a major player in the digital media and marketing industry in Malaysia. This history and evolution showcase Oh! Media’s journey from a small-scale blogging initiative to a major digital media force in Malaysia.
